I actually started the group blog because I wanted to have a blogging presence that wouldn't suck too much time away from my writing. The blog has grown into so much more. As you mention, it promotes us and gives us more exposure in schools, but we've also found a new network of friends in fellow writers online, like you. :-)
Carmela
TeachingAuthorsCarmela Martinohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15543808551988338496noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8351393126967591748.post-88402610961765579452010-05-02T08:29:07.485+12:002010-05-02T08:29:07.485+12:00MY mother! solo, hard working, talented, loud, emb...MY mother! solo, hard working, talented, loud, embarrassing when I was a teen, dependable, creative, impulsive... Oh, the days of cleaning the skirting boards of the five bedroom Kauri villa we rented out in the wop wops; or finishing with the garden when it was finished with an bugger if the sun had gone down!!
lol
Don't think she ever said I had to tidy my room. It was matter of childhood despair that it mostly shared it with my very messy younger sister. I always kept my side tidy (I even drew a line with a crayon!)TK Roxboroghhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16396099477818776758noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8351393126967591748.post-60225217737003594632010-05-01T09:47:39.168+12:002010-05-01T09:47:39.168+12:00no Maureen, that's my motherno Maureen, that's my motherMelinda Szymanikhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10202080805759494767noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8351393126967591748.post-53577413165102433372010-04-30T14:27:47.924+12:002010-04-30T14:27:47.924+12:00Tania were you brought up by my mother. Some days I give up at least a thousand times but we authors do tend to be suckers for punishment and keep going.
